Marriage & Parentage

I can’t help notice how it changes abruptly on both sides of the divide.
When a guy gets married, he tends to develop empathy kind of feelings n an understanding of his father’s behaviour/rules.Personally (been married for 9 yrs), I started appreciating my Old man’s sacrifices n weird tough love when I married n got kids.na hapo ndio niliwacha utoto ya kusema ati I love my mum more than my dad.

On the other hand, them ladies get suddenly close n mushy mushy with their mums once they pop a young one. I was told its coz they realize that that’s exactly wat their mamas went thru, hence the sudden deepened bond.

Wats ur take?

Too true.
It’s actually more when as a man you get a boy.
You start to see yourself in him and you realise how much you behave like your own father.
I always catch myself repeating the same words my dad would use and it scares me because I resented him saying them but I now think he is a Hero.

aawww lol

Very true. I these days run to the defence of my father when some fights start from nowhere back in mumias. Been Married for a while but them ‘women’ you’ll never understand them.

I used to fuse every little petty squabbles they start ,then I came to realize why my father would stand up walk away should he sniff something simmering . I do that exactly the same and by default I’m teaching my little boy by going to the back of the house and work on that 1981 Jimny suzuki hadi kelele ipoe.
