I am here wondering how an MMA fighter, just walked off T-Mobile arena with $100 million, for losing a fight. McGregor is very happy with the loss, as seen in the post fight conferences. He talked his way in to a 100 million dollar payday for a boxing match he had no business being in, simply because people buy into hype.. he's a good fighter who happens to be great self promoter. How else would an amateur boxer (0-0) get a chance to fight with a legend if not talking his way into it. There is no bad publicity, people buy into hype. Psychologists call it social capital, and McGregor invested his wisely. It is easy to turn popularity into money.

macgregor was actually very good in that game. better than many top boxers mayweather has seen. he is much younger than mayweather and cannot be excused for tiring and gassing out in the 10th. he just didnt prepare enough for a boxing match. Alifikiria ni ile 18 minutes ya kurukiana kama panzi na gay poses(@uwesmake's favourite stuff ) huko UFC.

The fight was also unusual. because mayweather didnt do his extreme shoulder rolls, fallbacks, and extreme ducking. in fact conor played more defence.

First Mcgregor lost, and then he played to Mayweather's tune. Why didn't they fight in an octagon if Mcgregor is all that you claim?
You are missing the point. In this fight, all Floyd had to say was "yes" or "no". McGregor had to convince Mayweather for this fight through hype over his career. My point is, McGregor worked harder to make this fight happen than Floyd did, because there are many other boxers he would have fought with instead of an amateur. If Gor Mahia had a game with Real Madrid and lost 1-0. Who do you think worked harder to make the game happen? Real Madrid for winning against Gor, or Gor for securing a match with Real Madrid?? Apply the logic to the weekend's fight.

McGregor did well, it was a decent fight for him with no pro boxing experience for him.

The naysayers were saying the fight was a hoax, turned out to be a great boxing match!

I get your point but I'm saying Floyd was there for the money. Even if mcgregor did the bidding, if there was no money, floyd would not have accepted

This was the case: TMT was under pressure from fans to have a last fight for Floyd. The fans also felt that the fight with Pac was not entertaining as was expected. Therefore, they became clever to organize a last fight that will
a)Seal 50-0 record for Floyd,
b)Entertain the fans,
c) Earn good money.

McGregor was a perfect fit for the above objectives. He brought a good measure of controversy, the fight would be more entertaining as Floyd embarked on an offensive approach as opposed to his defensive tactics, and he was guaranteed of a win. McGregor also walked out with a good cut for making the deal a success.
