The dock allows one to connect the Lumia 950 or 950xl to an external display using hdmi or displayport , a keyboard and a mouse so that one can have near desktop environment .For basic computing like emails and browsing at home this works very well.
I have tested the dock and most of the flagship USB c phones support this feature.i also tried connecting mac book air to the dock ,since MacBook air has only one port for charging and connecting peripherals and it worked allowing the user to connecting external hard drives on the dock and have an external HD display.
