Mitsubishi Shogun Vs Toyota Prado

Hi, I need an SUV that can handle 800KM a week on tarmac, 20KM bad upcountry roads and rainy terrain on a weekly basis.

The difference in price is 2 million between the two diesel variants both 2015 models.
Is the Prado worth the extra 2 million bob?

Or I buy the Pajero and invest the 2 million in some plots at Kamakis I am eyeing?

Nunua Pajero.

Prado is a more capable offroader but unless you are going to be doing rock climbing in it, you wont need it.

The Pajero is a much better car on tarmac and feels like a big saloon… it has independent suspension all round and a monocoque construction and you will find its on-road handling capabilities much better than a Prado. Just get one with a decent power plant atleast north of 200hp

Pajero might stay than a Prado that will mea miguu

kama ni ya mkono moja, yako , save the 2m . i.e ni wewe tu utatumia nunua ploti Boss.

For your usage ,buy a Isuzu Mux, Toyota Fortuner or Mitsubishi Pajero sport any will give you the utility you need.

Thank you. I will be the only driver for the car and I see Pajero has the most value proposition

Make sure you don’t miss your service intervals should you choose the diesel options.

On the bright side, should you kill the diesel engine, they are fairly easy to replace and even switch to petrol.

Why not a 2010 prado diesel… Can be 120 series… Or early registration 150 series… (without a tire at the back - diesel)

For me… I just hate that tire at the back of a pajero…

Otherwise it’s an awesome car… I’ve driven it…

If you buy the prado, get the powerful one turbodiesel and use it. the prado has the imposing looks and cushy off-road suspension, but of course the Mitsubishi will be the better car on the road. If you have the money dont buy an older car than you have to.

Prado is body on frame and therefore will handle more off-road abuse than pajero and land cruiser 200series, but that makes it wobbly on the road at high speeds, and if you corner carelessly at high speeds you tip over. Pajero and landcuisers 200 series won’t entertain body twist abuse on rough roads like Prado but comfortable and stable at high speeds on smooth roads

the 200 is body on frame

Get the prado. The v6 4000c petrol engine. 2014 or 2015 .you will be set for life

Really, the one referred here as V8

Its a body on frame.
only that its frame is different and larger than the prado.

Ok, now I know. Maybe that is why they are durable compared to pajeros

From your intended use, go for Prado, it can handle that beating

A real suv must show off the sparewheel
