If this guy has a good head on his shoulders, he will humble himself and learn. But if his dreams of joining a snazzy accounting outfit linger, he will be out of a job out of sight of the media.

Meffi post from @Sokwe mtu .I mean Sokwe ya mtu

Sokwe haina akili

Ati where were these jobs when Kenyan youths were applying for them? There is a guy we used to debate with here who sounded like Kenya owed him a job. It is not that owners of institutions are mean. They do employ people they need. This guy is likely being given an opportunity at interning to get a coat of vanish and/or some paint to fit into the trade. Anaeza fika huko naivasha apewe someone to shadow for three months na 30k salo. Akilenga?

Mgisu kujia kibao uteremshe na magoti ya ngamia

I don’t know what’s wrong with that course I know two guyz who have thrown away their lives after frustration za kukosa kazi! Bright chaps I might add

Some guys have dreams out of proportion to their current situation. Too high are the expectations.

It takes time to make it to the top achelon in any fraternity or career line.

I think that very bright guys have the similar problems that cute girls have. Cute girls who get too much attention end up being too choosy. They assume just because some big shot somewhere smiled at them or told them how wonderful they are that they could even spit on the toms, dicks and harrys. By the time they realise Mr Big Shot is out of their league, it is rather too late for them to start retracing their steps to the toms, dicks and harrys they left behind.

You have used so many words to say so little about nothing. It should concern you more that such a young man and many others like him are wasting away in squalor for lack of opportunity than his ability to network and understudy. In functional societies, unemployment has brought down govts. Trump’s latest popularity is hinged on his ability to guarantee low unemployment rates.

Only in kenya where we blame someone for being smart. The issue is we tend to focus all our energy on public sector instead of private sector - this same issue nimeona na engineers. Huyu jamaa kuna countries akaenda he will be spoilt for choice. Only time u hear our govt talk about private sector or youth jobs ni mambo na tenders.

You seem to

Fewer words then Mr Genius: Lack of opportunity, network, understudy; do you see any connection there? No? Ok.

Have you still not understood that the young man is looking for work in a field that he was not trained for? Qualified actuaries in Kenya are scarce.

many of those graduating with a degree in actual science have found employment in financial and insurance firms.

Very few people pass the three month test. "this company is wasting us, wanaezaje tulipa 30k?

Consider also that he might actually be a humble fellow willing to learn…only that things are not working out at the moment. It happens. It is at this time that he might actually need to hold on to his dreams even tighter.

Calls for humility

That course is like med, EE eng ama Info and telecom eng and only takes straight-A guys lakini ni kama kupata kazi hwa ngumu for most of them. Had a neighbour who did it na alishindwa kupata job hadi he became a Lecturer at some local private uni

this is no surprise…it is just a reflection of the kenyan society…we let you suffer coz of lacking 10k hospital bill till you die and hours later there’s a whatsapp group with more than 200 participants who will raise 500k within a week. followed by expensive casket/suits/flowers/volunteers to offer transport,

Their job can be done by economists and Bcoms.

whatever the case , in developed countries , such a guy wouldn’t be sleeping in the streets . ALAFU . it seems kazi ziko , employers wanaficha kazi .

Why would you refuse to employ a young guy alafu you get suprised when the same guy robs and rapes your daughters ?
Peeni vijana kazi you noogles…
