Mombasa is waking up!

This is coming up on the seafront, just beside the Nyali Bridge. It is the 22 storey Sheheena Marina Park Apartments. On completion it intended to look like this

Im told it also goes down some floors

But it will look so out of place in an area surrounded by slums such as Kongowea, Mshomoroni etc. Mombasa is a poorly planned town and these tall buildings will just make the problem worse.

Its a cool design in a wrong place. I don’t see the essence of having a residential property in such area. A few plots near kongowea market some guys are working on biggest office block. With the expansion of North coast expect nyali to have major offices and bamburi area as next nyali. Already you can see the changes.

Nope! The site is part of the larger Nyali prime locale! And now the value shoots even higher up after this!

The vast nearer North Coast is generally transforming into a hotbed of prime developments and constructions. Standing on the Nyali Bridge and looking on either side of the beaches, the evidence is there for anyone to see. There are no less than eight buildings all of them ten or more stories, some completed and others under construction!

Lol

Surprise? Mombasa doesn’t have a working sewerage system as guys know it in Nairobi! And don’t be dumbfounded if someone whispered to you that almost the whole of the island belong to three or four ancient Arab families! The best known is the Sware Nguru family who claim ownership of every inch of Majengo Makande and Makupa areas!

@msalame grace I think those Marinas are grossly under priced. Compare with worldwide marina prices. I’d buy English Point in a heartbeat.

Mombasa has proper developments. But there are few places that make sense to invest in. Such are physical dependant projects like marinas & @ Tudor Creek

Marina with the overpriced stuff is already 90% bought.

Na swali tu, water is a big problem in Msa. I hope the county will work with developers to ensure a constant supply of water ama hawa wana borehole?

Water is hoarded just like any other product in mombasa. Last month there was shortage after County government delayed payments to kilifi county. Kilifi produces over 10m cubic litres a day which means they can feed every homestead with continuous supply of fresh water daily. But like any other businesses, they just apply for fewer litres to keep those trailers distributing water afloat.
Then mzizima springs, have never been upgraded from mkoloni times, relying on only one pump.
