These include coastal sides, North Eastern (Somali) and most plain Nilotes(Turkana etc)
I always see them voting for Raila despite Raila not campaigning those sides or if he does not as intensively and aggressively as Ruto or the former Uhuru did. Ruto and Uhuru had the funds to do proper campaigning those sides but still couldn’t lay a glove.
And it’s not like Raila has an elaborate plan to develop them.
Maybe the fact that they have been marginalized they relate to those in Raila’s camp who they feel they share the same problems.
If Raila would have stuck firm in the opposition and be the people’s fighter, he would have been the majority’s favorite but he gave up after being there for so long
