before moving oversize cargo, the first thing is always a route survey to find out where the bridges/underpasses are to determine feasibility. by the time the cargo leaves mombasa they already have the route mapped out with any possible obstructions including but not limited to bridges. they also come up with contingency plans for any steep slopes/inclines where the truck might require assisted braking/pushing

noma sana

i think i know the owners.
energy sector is the next big frontier

That is the ideal way, but our moronic kenyan way of doing things is different. Quite a number of times i have seen oversized cargo get stuck at kibarani overhead railway bridge right there in Mombasa where the journey starts causing massive traffic jams. Then i wonder, if the first bridge defeats them do they really do a route survey.
