DP Ruto’s bold defence of Kimwarer, Arror dams projects months before DPP report
In February 2019, Deputy President William Ruto refuted claims that KSh 21 billion had been lost in the construction of Arorr and Kimwarer dams in Elgeyo-Marakwet. Ruto said that those reports appearing in a section of the local media were pure propaganda aimed at discrediting the government. He said that only sh 7 billion had been paid out to the contractor and that every shilling can be accounted for.
