Yesterday, 13% of the samples tested positive for covid 19. We can safely assume that at least 1 in every 10 Kenyans has covid 19. That’s almost 5M people. Number of deaths stands at 420. 420 deaths out of 5 million cases seems like a very low number. Covid 19 deaths are easy to identify, but asymptomatic recoveries go undetected. This virus may not be as dangerous as we think. Some people will get unlucky and it is unfortunate. If each county gets a minimum of 300 beds and necessary equipment, the economy should reopen fully. Without the beds, staff and equipment, many people will die and that is not good. MoH and governors are failing Kenyans. 4k Kenyans will die if they don’t get good medical care.
