:D:D:D

Sio zamani. Happened last week to me. Maji was even overflowing to the loo despite the toilet’s floor being raised.

:D:DMimi countless times watu wa roysa,zimmer,44 na 45 mnajua hizi sides maji hupotea hadi mnasahau about running taps. maji yakirudi all those forgoten taps wreak havock. One morning naamka kufungua afrojiri sacco only to step in a pool of H2O. i was so furious and ignored the situation na nikajitauarisha na kwenda job. Second instance,a loose pipe chini ya sink ya ku-brush meno was dripping the whole day. Kutoka job napatana na slippers na viatu floating roundi mwenda kwa sitting room. This happen ed again after thinking i had titened the pipe,i became furious nikang’oa pipe na kuifunga bandage inakaa mtu amekatwa limb. Now i have to brush teeth with from a cup of water whether kuna maji ama hakuna. i keep procastinating about fixing the tap so there might be just another disaster waiting to happen

Happened to me a week and a half ago. Phone na APC zilidrown. Thank goodness laptop ilikua kwa desk sio kwa carpet kwenye naiachanishanga.

:Dwaaah wewe kaka umejionea…na iyo clean up huwa sio mchezo

Cunt relate. In my one bedroom kuna drainage kwa bathroom si kaa kwako unaweka bucket halafu unamwaga maji kwa maua hapo nje ikijaa…:D:D:D

Y’all are lucky ilikua maji safi ya tap,.
Remember the day Uhuru won the supreme court petition in 2013?
It rained cats and dogs sio?
Haya ,I was at my aunties, her house is at the bottom of a kamteremko, on the right of the gate is a kahill on the left is a kahill, then once inside the gate its kinda sloppy as well.
On that day, they had dug up culverts that transported rain water from the right side down to a kariver , when they put them back, the didn’t bother to make sure that no soil was left in them, so it Rain’s at night, heavily ,the water from the right came down and as usual mvua nyingi hufangia soil so the culverts filled up and blocked so the water had to find some other place to go , guess where it went, , niliskia MTU ananiita at 12.30 am in the morning, “w… Dukire na mai nimaingirire nyumba” (si uamke na maji imeingia kwa nyumba ) it was my aunt, in the house was my aunt, her 3y.o daughter , her sons , 14 and 10, my uncle was out drinking, her eldest son lived in a kabedsitter upstairs ( the house is

a two storied flat) .
I get off my bed walk to the sitting room and there is a sufuria moving fast towards my room, floating on brown water my aunt goes to pick up her daughter , I go to wake up the boys, the ten y.o i s a heavy sleeper, so he just sits up and hangs his legs only to be hit by water he jumped like a maasai hihihi, as we leave for my cousins bedsitter up stairs, I switch off the electricity kwa main switch, my auntie calls her husband to inform him, he thinks its a joke and says ataleta boat.
Ground floor has 3 houses , two are used as stores and then the third is where my auntie lives. Stima za huku zimepita chini.
After an hour the rain stops so we go downstairs to inspect the house maji imefika level ya arms za sofa , so the fridge is partially immersed as well beds at least mattresses hazikua zimepata maji , there was a vacant house upstairs, sheer luck, they had move adjust the day before, so we carried mattresses and blankets to that place, tukatandika, then my cousin who lives in a bed sitter suggested we switch off the entire buildings electricity , we go do so tukiogopa yetu yote and everyone goes to sleep, only to be woken up by my Uncle who was calling for his daughter down stairs , kumbe he arrived akaenda kwa nyumba kama kawaida only kupata the house is flooded and no one is in sight so he thought his daughter had drowned, pombe manenos. My auntie called him up tukalala, asubuhi!!! The work I did? I did 70 % of the cleaning the boys ducked all clothes in baskets were soaked, there was a black and white dress I had to throw away, ilikataa kungara na vile niliipenda, cleaning afour bedroom house full of mad by my self then doing dishes , cleaning sofas , at least we had someone else do laundry, when the rest of you were celebrating I was working my behind off . at least the boys were made to clean the stores .
The water had brought down a neighbour’s wall.

u were lucky.

mimi remote zote zilikunywa maji

nikazitoa battery nikaziwacha zi dry…for a week

mbili zilifanya kazi moja ikakwara kabisa:mad::frowning:

Hama

:eek:pole kwa kupitiya hayo

l can only imagine how your uncle fombe ilishuka alipofika kwa nyumba…o_O

na si alisema nitaleta boat  think alidhani ni maji kiasi

Kitchen sink, plus some unforeseen obstacle kwa drain. Ama living room yako iko na drain? That architect should be shot!

Mimi kuna usiku nililewa kinoma n forgot that i left the taps open during the day, asubuhi kuamka nilipata slippers zikifloat bedroom…

He thought my auntie was joking, I always laugh when I imagine how he walked into the flooded house

@introvert, tunahitaji boat design ya sufuria hapa

Did you have to call that bandit on us?

Chloe how dare you call this bandit on me?
@introvert sasa niko na Wd40, nitume wapi

Here every tenant has his own tank and its meter. So when mine is empty and refilled, i have to open a tap in the bathroom to ease some pressure so that every tap can start running smoothly.
Erection day nimerudi ziara 2am nikamua kufanya io ritual so that every tap can run smoothly including that of the shower head. Then i lay myself for ‘5’ mins with socks on etc. MAKOSHA!

Niliamka around an hour later nikitirirkwa na machozi. :frowning:
