Poor planning, I don’t think if there are equipment for dredging on site. We all know how Government procurement is effective.
So, @spear, when do we get Turkana water in our taps ?

What’s Aggreko field of operations

Thats like asking him when Jesus is coming back

The Turkana water is good to go though, or ?

So in short the power supply is not affected much this year? Been a while since I heard of power rationing.

Why all those embankments, don’t they take up the space that would have otherwise be occupied by water. Then the dam doesn’t hold lot of water after all.I now understand our predicament fully .

yes its good to go, gets to NRB and water problems are solved forever

biggest problem is, its a mega undertaking, will probably require an expenditure of a similar magnitude as the SGR which i doubt the government can afford at the moment

acquiring land, building of substations to pump uphill because of the terrain (check out a data elevation model of any probable route and you will understand), and the SCADA system required to remotely monitor the pipes and control points (though i would be interested in implementing the tech part)

its affected, but they are substituting it with diesel power, very soon you will hear of tariff adjustments
