Nifanye?

Now that elections are over, I am torn between buying a plot or investing in stocks. Budget is Ksh 1,000,000.:confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:

Do you know how to trade stocks, read financial markets, make economic predictions, evaluate companies, make growth projections for companies?? Otherwise why are you considering stocks?

I do. However, I dont own any land and land is a “must have” in Kenya, hence the dilemma. I see opportunity in both.

That’s a better plan to have land. According to me, that is.

You could do both, split that 1m .

Why do Africans insist on owning land?

are u any different sir/madam?

Note on ‘insist’

And no, am not different, I own several parcels.

But there r investments that have a ROI higher than shambas

kindly give examples of this if you dont mind

You could also invest in government bonds as you make up your mind

if time is on your side, make a few more millions the same way you made that, land will always be there

Wait for bitcoin to go back to 2000- 3500 USD range, buy some wait for it to go back to over 4000 USD. The price of bitcoin flactuates significantly when major event occur in the cryptocurrency world. Around one month ago the price of bitcoin fell to around 2000 USD, due to the news of an expected split of bitcoin so that we end up with two blockchains. The split did not occur and currently one bitcoin is worth around 4260 USD. Very investments can give you such a return.

I don’t know if this is your intention, but I can tell you that you’ll never get rich buying land.

Mjama you don’t know what you’re talking, people who invested in land around 2002 hata pale ruai bearing in mind a market plot was going for kitu 50k sahii majama ni birrionares, give kantafu on your way to tala five years ,hakuna peasants wataweza being huko.

We’re approaching the end of the happy times.
Most places prices are stagnating. Many houses built and expensive land charging expensive rent are empty. And now many people are struggling to move pieces of land.
From here, I don’t believe prices can go very much higher.
There are better ways to invest Sh1 million which don’t entail waiting for 5 years only to end up covering for inflation.

I’m not talking about land investment in kanyarkwat omwami.
