Nigeria is Shutting Down!

Yes i know it is hard to beleive but currently all petrol stations in that oil rich country are closed due to lack of petrol. Many food distributors to markets cannot make deliveries, workers are grounded as generators for power back up are dead in many offices. The Nigerian govt was subsidising fuel to the locals but the importers have not been paid billions of dollars in accrued debts…yes nigeria imports petrol products.Mobile phone masts will shut down too anytime…curse of the oil perhaps?

mbisha

I knew they were in deep shit, but this one sounds exaggerated, kama ile ya the US fed. gov. shutting down

@stunner Was wondering how the two are related (Mobile phone+Petrol) but apparently the Electricty in Nigeria isnt that stable hence most firms (including phone companies) rely on diesel generators.
This is very bad for the President-elect Muhammadu Buhari, maybe its sabotage…maybe not but it will negatively affect their economy in big way.

Our government should be taking notes. This oil shit ain’t no joke.

Curse of the negro not oil…

The shortage means that Africa’s biggest economy is slowly grinding to halt, says the BBC’s Will Ross in Lagos.

Three of the country’s mobile phone companies, MTN, Airtel and Etisalat, have warned that the fuel scarcity could effect their services as they were finding it difficult to supply diesel to the base stations.

Traffic on the roads is also reducing as many fuel stations have stopped selling petrol and there are long queues at places where they are selling petrol, our correspondent says.

Many domestic flights have been cancelled and some international flights are having to land in neighbouring countries to refuel.

Radio stations are also restricting their broadcasts and some have gone off air altogether.

thats bad realy fucking bad

It is true. Even KQ and other major airlines had to reroute to Dakar and other regional airports to refuel due to lack of jet fuel in Lagos and Abuja international airports.

Technically, Jonathan is still in charge mpaka Buhari awe sworn in .

I read somewhere that petrol is scarce even in the black market where a liter goes for close to 800 naira which is like 400 Ke bob

Teachers union too striked

Ni kama Jonathan is taking the country down with him

Their economy is rising enabling more and more Nigerians afford Chinese made electronic equipment at homes. All these require energy.
Lack of planning.
Prince Eyango sings “you must calculate” and he’s right.

Lack of planning. They export crude and import refined petroleum products.

But if you ask some Kenyan girls, Nigerian men are the next best thing to candy. Until, of course, they make mules which earns one the firing squad in a Chinese prison.

Ive been to Nigeria and boy, was it it a nightmare? Only Abuja can be said to be livable!
