Murang’a Town must go down as one of the most boring county headquarters I’ve ever visited. Niliuliza the best place I could take a beer and was directed to an old drab place called Mukawa Hotel.
The last I was there, the saving grace was Nokras (!).
Old locals told me me that old money from Murang’a traditionally did not invest in the town, preferring Nairobi, coz of ‘urogi’. I was dumbfounded…
