Noah and the Great Flood, fact or myth?

An examination as to whether it actually did happen and the implications on Christianity given that Jesus (according to the gospel of Luke) said Noah indeed entered the Ark and the flood arrived.

The story of Noah should not be taken literally. Most probably it was a scientific experiment where the creators were weeding out some defective products of creation.

Absolute myth.

Why do we still have people born with birth defects? They should fix the code.

After creation, there were some hominids that needed to be eliminated in order to remain with more perfect homo sapiens. Ndio maana huwa tunapata fossils of homo erectus, homo habilis na kadhalika

What about Noah living 700 years?

Maybe that was a reward from the creators for his efforts in saving the true homo sapiens

I think you can identify an obvious hekaya when you see it!

What was the purpose of Noah’s ark? To preserve the life and health of the remnant population and animals. I believe the Bible is the literal word of God which has confounded all, even acclaimed scientists. You’ve heard about the rapture, haven’t you? Ask yourself how a human body, the bodies of old people and young babies, will be able to pierce the cold skies and radiating sun rays (or darkness, depending on your time zone at the rapture)…? It’s because God can transform a substrate body to withstand all chemical and environmental degradation.

So much of the Bible is unspoken, it is by FAITH. By faith, Noah and the ark’s inhabitants were able to withstand ravaging flood waters through a body change. God can do anything! Maybe the ark became like those ufo spaceships, much bigger in size.

Okay but does faith mean we ignore reality? Isn’t it more likely that this story was made up than it actually happened? Just like Samson killing a lion and Moses splitting the Red Sea.

Hebrews 11:1b. Faith (by definition), is the evidence of things not seen.

Okay but where is the line separating faith and delusion? Delusion (by definition) is belief maintained despite being contradicted by reality or rational argument. So how do you know you are faithful and not deluded? I get it if it’s in the bible then it’s in the bible, but surely you must also doubt some things?

The flood(s) did happen although waliongeza chumvi to suit their religious beliefs. Several cultures predating the Bible such as the akkadians and Sumerians of Mesopotamia document it. They lived btn the large rivers Euphrates and Tigris and experienced periodic droughts and floods. Abraham came from this region, probably Noah too. Most religion is just history embellished with some cultural myths relevant to the particular period.

Pure faith bro, especially when it doesn’t “make sense.”
Hebrews 11:6. And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

Why would you willingly believe things that don’t “make sense” ? If I told you 1+1= 36 would you believe it?

If Noah’s Ark and him saving the world was a myth, then the question arises; why does the gospel of John claim Jesus saw Noah building the Ark? Is the gospel wrong?

Maybe you’re solving the wrong problem. Instead of 18+18=36, you missed the “8” so you have the wrong answer.

1 Corinthians 1:27. But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise, and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;

Rapture, My take:
Matter can neither be created or destroyed, the total number of souls is fixed, souls are often reborn. The Current increase in world population is an indication that more souls are in this world than ever before.

The direct agents of the devil want the number of souls on the planet to reduce so that the judgement day is delayed, the devil is scared. Population reduction is a direct instruction from the devil himself.

Back to My theory, once all souls are re- born, then the creator will come to judge as promised. I think the end is near
