$150,000: Prize money for both the men’s and women’s winners of the 2018 Boston Marathon. Second place gets $75,000.
Sports pays better than many other professions. Shida tu ni you have to be very good at it between ages 17 - 27
I really hope that brother doesn't have to pay taxes to KRA since he will pay taxes za USA
Eliud Kipchoge is over 40. Tergat and Gabreselassie broke the marathon records when they were in their sunset years of almost 40

Sports is like acting, music etc. Those people earn well. But don't dream that you can easily replicate their success. They earn well because they do what 99% of the population can't. That's why they get the big bucks. Very few people make it to become professional athletes. In sports, you just don't choose the career, the career chooses you too based on factors beyond your control e.g talent and genetics.

They earn well when work, scripts, hits are coming in/ available. Once that stops coming, or injury occurs, you're done.
It's the reason for that BIG payout.
