Of quack doctors

Some doctors in Kenya are not capable of carrying out minor surgeries. I wonder if the medical board suspends these guys after such errors or better yet, revoke license to practice.

I have a few friends and relatives who have passed away as a result of doctor error during minor procedures. They always blame it on overvbleeding…a way of telling you they fucked up.

I have a gifted friend who became an invalid at age 16 as a result of doctor error. He was deprived of oxygen for too long and he became a cabbage.

Im writing thisthread because this weekend I lost a friend. She had gone for surgery, the ones you expect to be out of hospital in two days. Now the family is making burial arrangements. RIP Flav.

Living in Kenya is like playing Russian Roulette. What doesnt make you stronger could kill you.

Pole kaka…This issue is running and out. You can’t imagine what is happening in those estate hospitals if such was in a major healthcare. It at times break my heart when i find a new parent taking instructions from a medicine vendor ( read crooked-pharmacist) on which best med to give her/his toddler over the counter. The said crook has never seen a gate of med school.

More shocking is that we lose very many young mothers during childbirth…c-section.

Pole bro, my condolences, the same way Wahome died.

pole sana

Pole sana.

A lady I knew had a miscarriage and the hospital managed it so badly that she got an infection that killed her

Pole kwa msiba.

Misdiagnosis is another big one where quacks are unable to diagnose cancer and by the time it’s discovered, it’s too late.
RIP Aunty & Gramps.

Hizi ndio vitu politicians wanafaa kuaddress because too many kenyans are suffering due to medical negligence. On top of causing deaths the same hospitals milk you to the bone.

wahome ilikuwa throat operation na inakuwanga complicated. I heard they access through the side of the abdomen or something like that.

:(:(:frowning:

Say whispers some of us we don’t know him as wahome mutahi

wah… it’s sad that we’ve come to compromise on health care for a few coins.pole

Cubans are here to save the day

Consider India if you can make it there for surgery. World class treatment.
@kah tony Sorry. It’s a terrible state. But there is many glaring reasons why. A friend of mine got board certified as a neurosurgeon in the first world. Literally took 14 years of school in college. A few months ago I saw a Kenyan doctor get the same(?) certs being interviewed. He was on some advanced program. His whole training took 7(?)years. OK.
