There is a lot more to life than World Geography. It is a good thing to know but not a necessity. For typical Americans, world geography is not on their priority list. I am not sure how this is a measure of intelligence. The way the world functions today, I simply google a location I need info about. I dont need to memorize its facts. This applies to every field, not just geography.
