Opening Video & Other Links

Siku hizi, trying to open a video attachment here produces the following gibberish:

Hizi nugu hazisikii.

I think this happens when you try to access the image directly without having KenyaTalk as the referer in your request headers --the images are on an Amazon bucket. It’s a way to sorta protect your images from direct downloads, etc.

Some options:

Navigate to the image from a KT page.
Manually add the referer using the browser developers console whenever Amazon throws that hissy fit.
Other options require some bit of browser plugin knowledge and/or coding.

Mbusit. That gibberish is what I am getting when I: [B][I]

Navigate to the image from a KT page.

I thought am the only one having that problem. admins should solve this issue. Na ile ngombe old monk ilienda wapi? inafaa kuchujwa kazi

If you use a browser that does some sort of ‘data saving’ or other compression stuff, it might be the one ruining your experience.

Anyways, admin deorro doesn’t pay me as one of his CC staff so let’s stand by as he walks past this thread.

I have used the same browsers without a hitch until about three weeks ago or so. It seems there were some changes made to the site that he may or may not be aware of.

All that shit for what?

My option on Free Adblock Browser:

Long-press the link and chose ‘open in new tab’. On a fresh tab, it works. But the lazy headmaster is too busy passing around the ‘monito’ for infractions of vernacular use.

Naamuka nesa. utavye admin ni kitimba muno
