Opportunity in kenya

I am a Tanzanian ,27 yrs of age, a degree holder, wanting to come to kenya to look for my fortune.
I have a Software Engineering degree from the University of Dodoma. I have heard of a vibrant tech sector in kenya and lots of startups and i thought I should give it try.
Back in Tanzania employment in the private sector is virtually non- existent, most companies are retrenching workers or shutting down altogether.
What is the situation in Kenya with regards to employment in the tech sector and in general? Someone please give me a brutally honest opinion

Alternatively, or in addition to the above, contact the start ups directly and pitch.

You have to ask yourself before migrating. Why would they hire you before the natives?
Do you have top notch skills? Is it a scarce skill in whatever you are working on?

If answer is yes, you are good to go, otherwise it will be a very very competitive spell for you.

Perhaps a multinational company in TZ and KE…think consulting firms.

Thanks for your comment, i have done a few websites with the Springboot and Mysql at the back end and React in the front end. I am mainly a web dev.

You need to up your game…those skills are too basic.
Was surprised to see a self taught accountant doing his own webs in Asp.net C#.He only needed my assistance in programming the web.config to connect to a db and deploying the webpage to his laptop IIS(I also helped him configure it).
He did all that to capture vital info from his clients.
We are talking of a Bcom Finance guy.
