i see you have a soft spot for the kenya airforce let me give you a brief history of the kaf, prior to their 1982 antics the kaf was the spoilt brat/child of the the then armed forces of kenya, they considered themselves as the cream the learned ones, they never respected the army and called them those with nil education. their mess known as the airmens club would put to shame most of nairobi hotels to shame and privates were served chips and other delicacies that their comrades in the army never heard of their laundry was done by “dhobi” or laundry marts, back then privates or rather non commisioned officers were allowed to fly the planes then they pulled that stunt well lets just say they learnt the hard way those priviledges were wiped away and battle hardened officers from the army were sent to the airforce to straighten them up including the retired general mohamud (sp).

What about now?

Do they still have those priviledges?

He he…Nope but still considered the elite. Hiyo officers mess ya Forward Operations Base MIA was renovated vinoma not long ago. Who can guess why?

Pic three hio bunde =light machine gun aka lmg was phased out though and replaced with negev from israeli weapon industries
Hio training ya search and rescue aka known as water survival is tough af watu kama mimi maji mingi tumeona ni ya kuoga ya basin starts at lab and completed with a helicopter drop in the indian ocean some have lost their lives during that training but again kdf has a 10% writeoff

Karangi was CDF

a friend told me this and I was shocked people die in the process of training

Nope but nice try.

imei2012, never heard of a private flying! Never!

Pia mimi nashangaa.

Ok

Ilikuwa kwanini?

Ni vile napenda ndege, sana sana za wanamaji lakini KN bado hawana, huko ndio ningekuwa nashinda.

Apart from armies who allow Warrant Officers to pilot planes, the airforces navies and marine corps planes are piloted by officers from lieutenant upwards. You mean KAF allowed Privates to fly aircraft?
