P-Unit fighting piracy

Kenyan music group P-Unit has made it easier for their die- hard fans to get their music. The group, which will be releasing a new single dubbed Weka Weka on 26th September, revealed aLipa Na Mpesa number which their fans can use to purchase their music. The service, which is in partnership with service provider Safaricom, works only with data enabled phones.Fans will be required to send Kshs 20 to the Till Number 866256 and the song they select will be sent directly to their phones within an hour.
The launch of this service by P-unit comes in the wake of increased complaints by local musicians on the high number of pirated music in circulation within the country. Just recently, gospel musician Bahati was sold a copy of his own music album that had been pirated.P-Unit has urged their fans to support them by using the service and purchase their original music.
