Pay-TV network beIN to dish out MENA entertainment channels!

Pay-TV network beIN is to launch 24 new movie and entertainment channels across the Middle East and North Africa, according to a statement released on Saturday,

“We identified a sweet-spot in terms of pricing of Pay TV in the region, that has traditionally been over-priced,” Nasser al-Khelaifi, Chairman and CEO of beIN media group said in the statement.

“Hence it was natural that beIN offers latest blockbuster movies, great family entertainment in the form of latest series, factual and kids content along with our premium sports offering,” Khelaifi added.

beIN subscription packages include regional and international football, tennis, rugby, golf, F1 and athletics programming, along with Hollywood movies from a range of family channels.

The new channels will be HD quality.

The company says it is determined to keep expanding its sports, movies and entertainment content. It also expects significant subscriber growth on the back of this expansion.

Drat! No wonder my beloved sports channel 11 went missing!

And now they will grab FOX MOVIES and FOX on E7WA from 4th November these channels will be exclusive to beIN. Sad Day indeed.

I saw that as well…

7W is gradually getting boring. Good thing CNN, BBC and other news channels still available. I hope MBCs don’t pull a disappearing act.

Fox HD has never been FTA. They always were paid for under ADMC & myHD packages.

I did not say HD…
update: Fox Movies Middle East left Eutelsat 7 West A:

We’re still receiving it, so…

we will see about that … consider today a grace period… if not … I will eat my Socks.

this also may discourage those who want to go FTA suppose other channels continue disappearing moja moja…
