Peugeot 406

Hello guys how good ir bad is the Peugeot 406 1.8 Model 2002. Is it good for Kenyan roads, how is its fuel economy? How is it’s spares availability?

Once a european car gets that old, you probably should consider going japanese.

Thanks buddy

Utatoa spare parts wapi especially if you are downcountry?

So spares ni shida?

Niaje ghasia ulirudishia @Stinger handle yake?

Looks cute but posts uta import na kulipa kra dearly

If you like it and you are a mbirroonaire, go for it. Hoping that you got a newer as daily commute. These pujos have parts everywhere. And they are dirt cheap.

My advice is subjective so take it with a pinch of salt. Was once allocated a 406 by some govt agency while working for them some times back. The invoices I used to see every time inaenda service were simply shocking but I think it had to do with dodgy procurement practices in govt offices.
Pros:-
[ol]
[li]Manual transmission(kuendesha automatic ni umama),[/li][li]Excellent handling for a car its size,[/li][li]Pretty fast for a 2 litre,[/li][li]Comfortable driving position,[/li][li]Well spec’d for its class,[/li][li]Most mechanics would be comfortable around it[/li][/ol]
Cons:-
[ol]
[li]Fairly expensive to maintain for a car its size,[/li][li]Does not say you are with it,[/li][li]Some spares are hard to come by more so in rural outbacks,[/li][li]Dodgy switches and dials,[/li][li]Shitty music system.[/li][/ol]

Don’t be discouraged. It’s a very good car.Fuel economy is good.Spare parts not a bid deal.Very comfortable to drive and very stable on the road.Downside is that it can be expensive to maintain if you decide to take it to Urysia but they do excellent job using genuine parts. Not recomended for bad roads coz it’s abate low.Have had one for the last five years and would not dream of the Japanese crap.

I have seen one ikijipiga high revs pale inda ikakataa kuzimika saa hio haikanyagwi mafuta. So weird. I would like to know the concept behind that.

What the hell? Kwani ECU ilikuwa na malware?

I have no clue …walijaribu kuizima hata wakitoa funguo iko tu on then it was doing revs of close to 7-8 thousand rpm.

Electronic gibbins will let you down, eventually.

Damn 8k RPM engage fist gear and its a rocket!!

I think the toyota AE-100 ,E-91 and 110 are the best cars ever I think.
