Igathe is like a miguna but not to the extreme of Migs. He is a technocrat with a distaste for political manouvering.

In Igathes case, he fell out with his Governor. In miguna's he fell out with his prospective deputy Governor. Same thing. Same personalities

I not so long ago encountered him through my work and we had a brief chat. To be quite frank, I was astounded at his cold attitude. I thought he was pleasant and nice, to my dismay.

Nobody can work with that Equity guy.
He is very insecure workaholic, a micromanager, paranoid and extremely introverted.
That's why you can hardly see him any social circles.
From office to home, home to office repeat the sequence for six days.
Ain't nothing wrong with that. James Mwangi's tactics have worked since 1993 and they have never failed him. They've made Equity the giant it is today

A simple life is a beautiful life.

True. Most high achievers have quirks in their personalities. Examples? Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, warren Buffet, 1jiggy (an introvert)...

Actually, the issue is yeye ni very autocratic. Dictatorial. Bossy. It's his way or the highway. This is also why Kipng'etich also bailed after just a short while. These guys he's been hiring to the positions of MD/ COO are meant to be groomed to take over from him and are mainly lured by that promise but they find they have ZERO autonomy.

If this isn't managed well, Equity will suffer the same fate as Manchester United FC... A very successful but dictatorial leader (Re: Ferguson) runs a place for almost 30 years to dizzying heights of success, coming from nothing. But when it's time to pave way for others, nobody really understands their successful ways/ systems coz nobody was ever really given the chance to do so... Therefore, it becomes a trial and error approach and eventually things slowly start crumbling.
