Hi Riskey. There are quite a number of free open source POS multiplatform systems out there e.g Unicenta POS, Open Source Point of Sale, Chromis POS e.t.c. which you may download from the urls below;
https://unicenta.com/
https://github.com/jekkos/opensourcepos
http://chromis.co.uk/

Which accounting system do you use? Integration will be important otherwise utaibiwa kama Kenya.

I know of big businesses who have used Indian softwares only to end up in big trouble after they collapsed or trial periods expired, don’t be stingy buy Kenyan build Kenyan

@KACH iz BACK!!! how much does the buy Kenyan build Kenyan cost.
@aviator I use a manual system. The POS will be for a cereal store. Kindly explain the integration part.

Integration means linking the POS to the accounting software. When POS makes a sale, the appropriate accounts are updated- cash, discount, stock, debtors etc - in the accounting system. Without the integration, you would manually have to post the sales which can be tedious and is error prone.

If you have a good comp, i can set for you a trial of QuickBooks POS- for free!

Why dont you want quickbooks… Lets start from there.

There is quick books pos very versatile and tested whu don’t you want it… And why are u still on xp.?

I saw POS and thought it was piece of shit.

the indigenous one ni 25k per till and 24/7 support, and can also work online that way you follow your sales even when outside the business premises

And that POS software, can it also manage stock levels and deduct sold stock from the remaining stock?

XP - This is an old desktop that has not been in use for several years.
I dont think quickbooks is easy to use for my shop attendant.

it’s a full POS integrated with an inventory and also performs hadi procurement of new stock, I’ve been using it for the last 4 years, call this guy Juma 0724322140 to hook you up
