The ideas being floated by the government are way ahead of their time. This society is yet to evolve to some levels. We have people who would rather pay a car loan and open whatsapp groups to fundraise for a 50k funeral ceremony; we have people who don’t understand how subsidizing fertilizer will make flour cheap. Our current society is also justified to detest because the government has a very bad history with projects since 1963. The kind of trust the government is demanding instantly takes years to build. Let’s first see some prominent corrupt people being jailed for life, and Kenyans will themselves suggest the deductions towards such noble ideas.
