Prepaid vs. Post Pay KPLC meter

Hello good people,

KPLC are doctoring the bill too much, and to launch a complaint you end up wasting half a day kwa ofisi zao, and nothing much is done anyway

I am thinking of installing hiyo ya tokens.

What are your thoughts on this?

Last month I consumed 33 units and the true bill was 526, except they slapped a false “previous balance,” of 900 yet I had cleared everything before that.

Are tokens subject to ukora?
If I pay say 600, which is what I genuinely used on postpay last month, how many tokens will I get? Is it close to 30?

what is the cost of switching to tokens? kuwekewa hiyo meter in how much?

need advice…

pre pay any day , this way you can easily diagnose what is consuming your units, my fridge was faulty kept munching units, would never have known with the old meter

100bob gives me more than 6 units. Do the maths.

The math gives me 36 units for 600 bob which is good

Although I hear if you buy less than 10 units the rate is lower (it’s cheaper) compared to >10…?

thanks for the input,

although shida ata sio consumption, its their behavior of inflating the bill ovyo ovyo, by up to 200%

Zote ni sawa kuna time wanaamuanga kumeza tokens hadi unajiita mkutano ukitafakari kama uko na kisiagi kwa nyumba…either of the 2 you is still f**d up

sure…?? sioni vile wanaweza ku control the rate at which power is drawn through your meter, hiyo inakaa ile shida @Kaffir amesema hapo juu, maybe one of your electronics is faulty

Usiende Kwa ofisi. Take a photo of the meter reading na uingie twitter na unawaambia reading Yao na actual reading haziambatani. They adjust and send the accurate bill.
Nishawahi tumiwa bill ya 15k for one month yet it was about 970. Waliadjust na kutuma real bill

33 units only? My monthly bill is always about 150 kWH.

For kplc… Twitter works so well. Had a faulty token meter nikaingia twitter, they came to replace after few days

okay, let me try this first

Yangu ni 250kWH kila mwezi
