Programming Courses

Hello Villagers.
Now, i have been trying to self-teach myself in programming online but am totally overwhelmed. Am almost giving up. i love programming and IT in general but i feel i need to attend a collage. so am kindly asking anyone who knows a nice place or collage i can enroll for a diploma in IT/Programming. thanks

Try Adela if your interest is purely programming even though i fault your assumption that by going to formal schooling will be any better than self taught. I think should first understand why that’s the case

And while at it, work on your English.

:D:D

Dckhead!!!

Moringa school ama Emobilis

Thanks Comrade. i could use more suggestions

Huyu hawezi pita interview ya Andela

go here https://scratch.mit.edu/ learn and understand it then come back and try real languages.

last time I checked ulikuwa Free code camp, kwani ulilemewa?

hahaha sikulemewa. am just getting overwhelmed… i mean, i feel there is a lot to do that i just need a physical guidance

:D:p

How’s the progress since Friday, man?

learn to code.

You know this talk of ooh you dont need to go to collage hata Bill gates and Zackerburg never went or dropped is an American. hapa Kenya, hata kama unajua programming or IT, lazima uwe na backup papers… so, well, i’ve been trying to go through collages teaching coding but nimepata very few na zile nimepata ziko expensive sana like Moringa. i’ve tried searching online but the best i could come up with is Zetech so far. they have software engineering which is like programing. someone advised me to take computer science instead so i had asked someone to check for me from JKUAT, main campus juu i was told they are the best in computer courses. am still waiting for response. so far, sijaget. do you have a suggestion? i could use one

Chieth diel unatubore na hizi mashida zako, shika one language some hadi umalize, jumping like a hoe on dicks will not help you in any way.
Ukikwama Google. 99% of the problems you will encounter were already encountered by others and solutions provided on akina Stackoverflow. A programmer has to know how to Google.

See the tackle below, by @Deorro?..
Take it with a lot of seriousness, the coding part of Computer Science is not taught in school… You have to follow the same internet/book resources that you’re avoiding right now.

Yes, a computer science “certificate” is nice but if you can’t afford it just go the online way. Mind you, bootcamps like Moringa don’t have your typical classroom method of learning— it is mostly via groups and a lot of online stuff.

What is your end goal?

I am on the same journey as you are, maybe a few steps ahead but still the same.

PICK A PATH AND STICK TO IT…

How about we tackle this together accountability-buddy of sorts?

Other than Andela, there’s no local college that will teach you quality programming. You’ll waste time and money ukisoma ujinga za Visual basic and PHP for 3 months. You are better being self taught, find out what obstacles you are having and deal with that.

Any opportunities for those who do microcontrollers like Arduino? With some basics in C? Ama ni kuundia tu projects za shule?

Why is learning PHP ujinga?
