pupils without birth certificates will be barred from registering for Grade 3 national exams whose listing stating next Monday.

KNEC CEO Mercy Karogo has warned that pupils without birth certificates will be barred from registering for Grade 3 national exams whose listing stating next Monday.
These learners, now studying the new competency-based curriculum launched this year, will have to sit for a national test called Kenya Early Years Assessment (KEYA) before proceeding to the next level.
They will be assessed in English, mathematics, integrated activities in Kiswahili, environment, movement and creative, religious, hygiene and nutrition.
