We had a guy in high school called Moha, that guy was just a muslim by name, he couldn't be seen by his fellow muslims dining hall akikula lunch so he of course had a trick up his sleeve. kutuma a friend mandazi at the school canteen then kuingia loo na doing the necessary.

I see. Am living in an Islamic country as a Christian, so let me try adjust to it. But majirani nao hehehe lunch time wanakaanga kuku na biriani hapana machezo. Ni kujifungia kwa nyumba na kujibonda

I know of a Muslim guy we were travelling with, who ate pork unknowingly when we made a stopover at kenol on our way to Muranga. he only became aware of the fact when we were washing our hands after the meal. He complemented the cook 'an si hii nyama yako ni tamu" the guy replied ' sisi tunafikaga ngorowe zile fresh.'

Story of the origins of this mbuzi ulaya term goes that Sharrif Nassir (mpende msipende fame) MHSRIP was in a buffet lunch in a major hotel and he really helped himself to this dish. After the meal he approached the chef and asked hio ni nyama ya nini, the shocked chef thought on his feet and replied that its mbuzi ulaya. Its said the Nassir asked for take away and made a daily order for the same.
