It’s been a long weekend with nothing to do other than stay glued to TV. Most of the local channels where broadcasting nothing but politics, so I decided to watch cartoons with my daughter.
See, the reason I love watching cartoon is because they are free to do whatever they wish and don’t end up dying, and if death happens to occur then it so secretively hidden in order not to traumatize the children.
I love watching Legend of Korra, and its villains caught my attention more like RAO; who is really RAO and what are his intentions?
Just like RAO, Here are some of the villains in Legend of Korra and what they wanted to archive for the betterment of the world but ended up messing everything.
Amon and Communism

The communist manifesto stresses the notion of a class warfare. Traditionally, that meant the oppression of the poor from the rich. In Legend of Korra, Amon emphasizes the oppression of non-benders from benders. The aim of communism is to eliminate any social class and make the wealth of everyone equal.
Unalaq and Theocracy

It is no doubt that Unalaq was hungry for power. But he was also a nationalist. He would frequently state that the southern tribe needed to be reunited with the northern water tribe, even if that meant coercing the citizens into working towards the national cause of spiritual unity.
Zaheer and Anarchism

The idea of having nations and governments is as foolish as keeping the human and spirit realms separate. You’ve had to deal with a moronic president and a tyrannical queen. Don’t you think the world would be better off if leaders like them were eliminated? True freedom can only be achieved when oppressive governments are torn down The natural order is disorder.
Kuvira and Fascism

Fascism, as Kuvira wields it, and as ever it has been wielded, portrays itself as the vigorous, pure-hearted answer to weak-minded, decadent lawlessness. It recognizes and excoriates the degeneracy of the present, the ignorance of the powerful, the gridlocked failure of liberal democracy, and it promises boldness, action, law and order. It promises food, and an army to protect you and the nation, and above all it promises a glorious unification of what once was scattered and smoldering. It valorizes the decisive leader, ascribing traits of courage and caring to him. It romanticizes his willingness to trespass the rule of law as necessary bravery.
Lets cut RAO some slack.
