Real Madrid have got their man. According to Bild, they have reached a deal with PSG striker Kylian Mbappe. He will sign for them on a free transfer in the summer when his PSG contract is up.
They say that Madrid are offering him a 50m euros a year salary, making him the best paid player in the world.
For now, the deal will not be made official, until the end of the season, but the two sides are in agreement. Madrid want to wait, at least until after the Champions League clash with PSG.
Mbappe moved from Monaco to PSG in 2017 for 180 million euros but now leaves Paris on a free transfer.
Mbappe has been dreaming of the move. According to him, he asked the French club to sanction the move and get something out of the deal. Those guys were foolishly adamant on trying to keep him. Now they lose him for free, even after Madrid tried to secure his signature with a big money move despite a year being left on his contract. 200M last summer, and 50M in this year’s winter transfer window of January.

How so? The only negotiating parties involved are the player’s representatives and the club they’re going to.
I think your scenario is only possible if there was some kind of clause that gives the first club some form of benefits like fees.
If there’s no selling involved then that kind of thing cannot happen cos the player is negotiating on his own that time. He’s not legally (contractually) obliged to include such benefits to the first club.
When the contract gets to its final 6 months (Bosman ruling), the player can negotiate on their own without involving their parent club. Currently Mbappe can negotiate with Madrid about his contract and at the end of the current season, PSG gets NOTHING. Nada! He walks for free.
So in effect, it gives the club the player is going to the financial ammunition to give the player a lucrative contract.
That means that 200M Madrid was ready to give PSG last summer, they can use that money to give Mbappe a 4 year contract (assuming this 50M a season deal is true).

Its not that simple. In France it’s illegal to have a release clause which Mbappe wanted inserted into his contract. That clause would entitle PSG to a transfer fee. Plus if they accept a transfer fee , they would have to pay Monaco $40m as part of his release early in his career. Also France has a 75%(?) tax rate for high income earners. Including footballers. So they would have to pay a huge tax fee from that transfer. Essentially, they would have to pay for Mbappe to leave if they receive a transfer fee.
It’s cheaper to let him go for free.

Actually wewe ndio hujui. You cant pass tax burden to the buyer. It overvalues the player. We are talking about a 30% pay difference here. Theres a tax rule in France that exempts foreign players from the same. It is in play in PSGs decision making. Google that. PSG are not as stupid as you think. They have been in this business for a long time. And its a business and not ATM card without a pin.
