Recycle Galore: Cat Meat industry and other stories.

The following Hekaya was submitted by @Nabongo Mumia II

“Where is that lady! I want my samosa!” Mwangi’s cried. “Don’t call our mother ‘that lady’ Mwangi. She works hard to at the samosa factory to get us subsidized samosas” His sister Wanjiru scolded. The two siblings lived deep in the slums of Nakuru. Soon, a figure came over the horizon. It was their mother, carrying a greasy grey package. She greeted her children and gave them some of the delicious feline pastries from the famous James Mukangi samosa factory, named after the man who came up with the idea to sell samosas. Ten years had passed, and cat meat had been legalized. The factory employed hundreds of previously jobless Nakuru residents, and exported across the East African region. The company was owned by Sivraj group, it also had a cat ranch near Gilgil. The factory had gotten a boost by the President sampling some of the samosas when he visited the factory in early 2026. However, the car meat industry in Nakuru is largely under regulated, and many gangs break into people’s homes to steal people’s cats.
