As the country was slowly adapting to the new mobile money transfer (MPESA)
there were two energetic upcoming petty thieves and one of them was me and my friend ridder.
we used to buy fake currency for 1000bob at 150ksh and find a busy place with a naive teller and buy products not exceeding 150ksh and make a profit of 700ksh per Heist
in a bad day we were making 7000ksh that 10 Heist of unexpected kenyans
we only had two rules with ridder,one was never con the same shop twice atleast not less than a span of 4 weeks.
two always have extra cash at-least 2 original 1k bills on the wallet.
and we used to save each other number as MPESA
the 2k notes was a back up plan incase the teller knows the 1k bill was a fake,the plan was ridder would send a message to my phone as a withdraw from mpesa,and say just withdrew from an mpesa,it was a longshot but it worked.
the more money we got we wanted more, we used to travel in all towns in kenya
the best times were morning hours when the shops are opening…
we graduated from shops to concerts,and whenever there is a concert we were there…especially at the entrance this fools were money hungry and so were we…we would pay 1k and get 500 original
once inside we would look for yankiess aka small boys with no cash to spend,give them 1k to buy one beer and bring the change, and repeat the process once we hit our target we disappear to the nearest town.
more money and we had to investment plan,just spend it on liquor and cheap women.
we changed tactics and minimized the risks because by now we were paranoid of getting caught,instead of us doing the dirty job we approached some whores and gave them a business proposal to join us and travel with us as we hunt for innocent victims…
the whores did not hesitate as long as there is money…we told them daily we will be paying them 2k to 4k depending on the job they do…
they were 4 of them but one had a small kid so she could not join us
they registered to mpesa,and we gave them our fake names and new numbers
we used to give them 5k 3 of them original 2 fakes and tell them to deposit
then the next mpesa withdraw…then the next mpesa deposit
dat how we survived…some tellers we used to give them 10k original give them the money then fake a call
pretend u dont want to send the money,then again decide to send ,give the 10k but this time fake money, and funny enough most mpesa attendant never noticed…
if one of the girls get arrested that was not a problem with us, corrupt officers everywhere,the only thing we feared is MOB JUSTICE
we reached a point we were in kisumu and we ran out of fake currency,my dealer had to send a Sack of beans from nairobi to kisumu with the money inside…
there is a concert in nakuru we changed over 70k till they ran out of change and we had to bail out to the nearest town
downfail started when ridder started having feelings with one of the whores,and started doing dump things like going to Nakumatt with fake currency,was arrested with the girlfriend and he snitched on me and l was a wanted man,CID were on my neck when even to my rural area and all the joints l visit,had to go AWALL for over a year…eventually got arrested in a KEG Joint.
