Refurbished Laptops

In a different thread, kuna mtu amesema and i quote “Most ‘new’ laptops are just refurbs sana sana HP na Dell.” am shocked ebu kujeni mtoe hii shock. How do you avoid that? How do you even know that the new laptop is a refub? Ebu tuelimishwe zaidi hapa tafasali.

New laptops come with warranty, hazina cosmetic wear and tear and just zina kale kafeeling and smell of new if you know what i mean. Refurbished mostly hazina and have some scratches with no warranty. This is a generalisation only.

I have learnt that in this forum, there are many who post ridiculous claims for the sake of sounding relevant to the topic at hand.
Anyone can differentiate between new and used/refurb items by plain observation and basic due diligence.eg packaging, model numbers, price etc.without need for any special skill. Unless you are buying from hawkers, trusting your seller comes in handy. Those who import goods or vehicles bear me witness that you pay for items you have not seen to people you don’t know and 99.9 percent of the time, things turn out alright.
