So zimbos are stuck with a fired vice president whom they don’t like anyway because of his role in Gukurahundi ethnic cleansing of the ndebeles , a sick opposition leader whom they had forgotten about, and a military they aren’t sure about.

Gado’s cartoon is on point.

I’ve seen the old dinosaur has refused to step down. So what happens from here? The military should have loaded and gun with an empty shell and shot at him from a close range. This would have given him a nice fatal heart attack and this would have solved the problem without shedding a drop of blood.

:D:D nice strategy.

That VP guy was actually very instrumental in Gakurahundi, way more than Bob. So guys are even more apprehensive about Mnangagwa as pres.

Yep, they would rather Bob minus Grace than the immediate former VP. The VP, current coup leader and Majuru were central to the massacre in Matebeleland. If you think tribalism is bad in kenya then you haven’t been to Bulawayo or Harare. In Harare you will rarely meet any Ndebele, Kalanga, Sotho and tswana speakers. They even refuse any postings there. In Bulawayo no shonas…and Bob made mistake of totally isolating Ndebele’s…tough times ahead

Without shedding a drop of blood? How about Mugabe’s, would that be water or milk?

An empty shell is harmless. The sound is what will do him in and we can then say he has died of a natural cause.

Well, what you guys don’t know is that Mugabe is a close ally of Zuma…and Zuma is now the chair of SADC. The army is treating Mugabe with kid gloves since anything else will prompt South Africa to send in the army under the guise of SADC…that’s not what the army wants…they stand zero chance against a well equipped and well drilled South African army. Ask yourself why they haven’t called it a coup and why they are being very patient. Zuma will have to step in and resolve this with Mugabe still playing some role in the interim arrangement

The intention and outcome would still be murder.
If Libyans were given a choice between what they have and Gadhafi, which one do you thing they would choose? No man is stone, life is finite, and the older, the nearer the exit.

Gadaffi’s story was a different one. He had brought economic prosperity to Libya which in my opinion is more important than democracy. Mugabe on the other hand has brought nothing but misery for the people of Zimbabwe. I wish he could just step down and let someone else to try and rescue the country.

Which country has ever been rescued successfully, and now stands as am exemplified pillar of human society?

It certainly has been rescued from the power schemes of Grace. Zimbabwe is a different case just like Libya was, these people were involved in the massacre of the Ndebele why didn’t anyone attempt a rescue. Why pretend to rescue a country from a 93 year old man. They need to establish a transition process & establish prosperity. Let’s not get into the rescue nonsense or soon Zimbabweans will be drowning en route to Madagascar or South Africa once the peace is destroyed; escaping elsewhere to a life of poverty.

The would have shot him by now if he came from the southern tribes. But he comes from the powerful Northern tribes.

0 chance of any army fighting for Mugabe.

your assertion would have made more sense if ZANU PF was inclusive but its an entirely shona affair, including the top brass military, cabinet and all those angling to replace Mugabe

Maybe this coup was from Mugabes playbook: How to use state resources to get rid of a nagging wife. Fake a coup and after the wife has been safely spirited away from the country, resume normal duties.
