Reggae star Gregory Isaacs has died at the age of 59 at his London home following a long illness, his manager has confirmed.

Dr. Isaac was a well-respected and dedicated physician. He was a Medical Officer in the British Army, Her Majesty’s Service, in Malaya. He and his wife Dr. Pearl Arshawsky were among the first physicians to practise at the original Scarborough General Hospital and practised together for almost 50 years. He served as both Chief-of-Staff at SGH and President of the Ontario Medical Association.
