Riziki Cherono's Story On Husband's Murder Not Adding Up....

On Saturday, June 5, detectives drawn from Mombasa and Nairobi quizzed Riziki Cherono, the wife of murdered Dutch national Herman Rouwenhorst.

The sleuths, who were five in number, indicated that the first statement Cherono issued was not adding up, stating that it needed some clarification.

Cherono told detectives that a gang of six men stormed their Bamburi home in Kisauni, Mombasa on Thursday night. Three of them, she stated, forcefully ejected her from the house, while the other three remained inside.

She added that the men, who wore hooded jackets, ordered her to get into the vehicle and drove until they got to Serena hotel where they tied her hands to the steering wheel.

Cherono was untied by well-wishers the next day after she called for help.

“I learned that the attackers had killed my husband on Friday morning when well-wishers untied me from the steering wheel,” she stated.

Rouwenhorst and his watchman were found murdered in his apartment. His hands and legs had been tied and his mouth gagged.

The two were taken to the Pandya Hospital Mortuary awaiting a postmortem.

The Dutch national is said to be a multi-millionaire who owned properties in Utange, Bamburi, Mitamboni and Mtwapa areas.

The Standard reported that he also owned several entertainment joints in Mombasa and Kilifi counties.

The incident came just a day after a German national was found murdered in Mombasa County.

The German national had been on the run since his girlfriend was found murdered and her body stashed under their bed.

Hii script imekuwa too familiar. Apa kuna mtu amecheswo …

We need to train our women and get them to read mystery novels so they can come up with better stories that make sense:smiley:
This one is totally craptastic and half-assed.:

Hio statement alone imemuuza. Anaeza kuwa alipanga akujiwe, afungwe alaf huzzy amadwe ikuwe ni kama a case of robbery with violence. But the script was poorly done, cannot hold water.

Wewe Kama inspector mattercore chafu

Maliza hiyo nguruwe

We all know there’s a high chance she hired the killers just based on her story but how can the cops prove it ? Unless the killers are arrested and they implicate her (with hard evidence)

Is that why mrs cohen is still randarandaing in the court hallways?

My all time favorite series are Hannibal and Dexter. My narcissistic self views Mrs Cohen as the dumbest woman ever. Who the fuck involves so many people in a murder plot honestly ?

Speaking if which, dexter reebot is up sans old character but darker-er than my my internet search query, utafraai. Mrs cohen is either too smart or too dumb to actually walk it off,the case issathrow already ama it will drag for years tuisahau

She was clever enough to make sure she got enough money for a corrupt lawyer.

With good investigators, hio statement ikona loopholes mob sana. Sijui ni vyenye I’ve a lot of the FBI files …

You need to revisit the history of ethnic cleansing in Kenya and see which tribe is famous for this in the country

We have good investigators so let’s hope they get the evidence required to pin her down. D- Huwa wanajifanya mafala tu but they know how to solve crimes.

The two main suspects in the murder of Dutch tycoon Herman Rowenhorst have revealed intricate details of how the tycoon’s wife hatched a scheme to kill the husband. The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) apprehended the two suspects over the murder of Rouwenhorst who was found lying on his matrimonial bed at the upscale Rocco apartments in Shanzu on Friday, June 4.

In a chilling confession, the suspects revealed that Riziki Cherono promised them a hefty payday in order to carry out the task.
"Cherono had earlier taken the suspect to their home on a recce mission to familiarize himself with the home. To complete the finer details of the murder plot, the suspect took photos of the bedroom where the deceased was later found dead.

“He was promised a handsome pay upon completion of the task, from money that the deceased kept in a safe in the couple’s bedroom,” read part of the statement from the DCI.

The suspects detailed that on the fateful night of the murder, Cherono opened the door to their apartment letting in the suspects to stage the cold-blooded murder.

After completion of the task, they broke into the safe and took off with over Ksh3 million. Detectives privy to the investigations also uncovered that Cherono alongside the suspects staged her kidnapping as Cherono was found in the couple’s Toyota Probox around Serena hotel with her hands tied in the car seat.

According to the DCI, the suspect acquired a plot with proceeds from the murder, measuring 40x80ft at Kiembeni. He constructed a four-roomed house at an estimated cost of over Ksh1.5 million and household items worth over Ksh500,000. Further, Detectives recovered one live round of 9mm callibre, one bullet head of 9mm callibre, blood-stained shoes, a pair of handcuffs, several mobile phones, and SIM cards.
“Forensic analysis conducted in our forensic lab placed the suspects at the scene of the murder in Shanzu and at around Serena, where Cherono and the vehicle were found,” read part of the statement from the DCI.

Cherono, in her initial statement, had given two contradicting accounts of events to the police- which led to the detectives poking holes at her theories. At first, she alleged that she was kidnapped by the men and ordered to drive to Serena hotel with her hands tied to the steering wheel.
However, weeks later she contradicted her statement by alleging that she was bundled into the car and the thugs drove her to Serena area where they abandoned her. Cherono was later on arrested on Thursday, June 24.
