I know vintage cars are expensive, the question though is, what population Rwandesse are willing to start importing vintage cars , mostly European and American made ?
Also, why would a European or American leave their home countries to go to Rwanda and see vintage cars imported from their countries ?
Cars that are already in there museums. Lastly, very few owners of these so called vintage cars are willing to sell them.
That’s like telling a Kenyan to go to zoo in Dubia and see Kenyan wildlife.

I think the tweet meant exotic vehicle models i.e lamborghini, buggati, ferrari, maserati etc. The tourists attracted will spend money while in rwanda

Exotic means foreign.

All cars on Kenyan roads are exotic. Hata Probox.

It chases away people who have real money to drive their own lambos from JKIA to CBD. The real tourists, wacha hawa pesa nane tumezoea huku.

I think it is to create the perception of opulence within the country and try attract more top dollar tourist and make them pay more for services they would pay less for.

Hii thread yote hakuna mtu ako na akili:D:D

Pump some brains

Very simple

  1. There is the commonwealth headsof states conference coming up in mid year. Thousands of vvips will attend and Rwanda will definately look forward for repeat visits from most of them. Hotels which will host them have to bring in lots of these cars
  2. High end tourists have money to burn. Before settling on a tourist destination in Africa they consider several factors such as availability of security, proximity to hospital facilities and some want big 4 wheelers to self drive to some destinations. Some, especially those who go to places like capetown are keen on occassional helicopter services.
  3. Something like this can also be an incentive for FDI
