Saidieni Wakubwa .....................

My dad bought a small plot in Nyairofi a decade ago from some guy. He’s in the process of acquiring Title Deed but it’s been an uphill task. Another thing, the seller has the Allotment Letter to his name. Dad checked the name at the registrar of lands, has his (dad) name on it.

Sasa, noma is on the Transfer Document, Allotment Letter to Title Deed processes. Someone chanua me, what’s supposed to be done plus how much would it roughly cost. Asande!

Nairobi hakuna title deed my friend.

Really??? So, kuna nini???

Never new that

Allotment letter.

Ask the dad to transfer the title directly to you.
Technically and legally the plot is his.

They are called “Lease” for 99 yrs

Lipeni wakili awafanyie transfer

None of the guys above is helping you. Nairobi is big, some areas have titles, others don’t mainly due to land disputes or issues with sub-dividing large parcels. Also, land ata kama ni leasehold can have a title deed. Find a lawyer who has worked with other landowners in the area to advice you.

Wow! Great thought.

Sande mkubwa.
