If the pay was that bad then I would be expecting the reverse, people being bribed to become police.
So if you have net pay negative, do you have to give them cash? And then you take a Sacco loan that’s 50% your gross pay?
Lemme assume for a moment that you’re the graduate cop, and ask why you’d spend years educating yourself, only to end up in a job you feel doesn’t pay you enough.
On the other hand, if otherwise, you have no business pitying someone who has offered his life to protect Kenyans.
That’s not a graduate officer salary, he/she hasn’t been confirmed as one, there is no correlation between the salary deductions and being a graduate police officer. Let’s not create web to affirm our assumptions and morbid fascination with the NPS salaries.

In the U.S. for instance police officers are among the brightest and most highly educated e.g. the FBI. which recruits Havard grads. In such a scenario you just have to pay them better. Plus how does a Kenyan cop with a certificate deal with high tech financial crimes?
