I want to upgrade my phone to one of these phones and i am torn between the two.I am currently using an android device and the advantage is the open source software hence many apps, better display, Samsung devices never disappoint from a person who has used note 2 and has been upgrading etc but what i do not like about android is that app developers cannot properly customize apps due to many android devices hence apps like Instagram or snap chat have poor photo quality, android phone value also drops very fast because of better devices coming in.
I phone has better app optimization and developers can dedicate time to improve it,it has slightly better camera features that work better in apps, it’s value does not drop that fast for resale. ButI have had a 3gs and it was the worst smartphone i ever had that made me stay off apple devices, i hate the hustle of dragging music and videos to i-tunes all the time, fewer apps in apple store etc
which would be recommended? and what other reasons apart from those listed would you give for buying 1 over the other

I’ve had an iPhone 7 plus for the past 1 year; solidly built, both the front and back camera work very well, with good lighting, yaani, mchana na outdoors. The front camera is shitty, very shitty, kwa low light…back camera has a few gems such as the Portrait mode (Google about it)…In comparison to the Samsung well, wifie has a Samsung Galaxy s8 (not the plus), looks sleekier, doesn’t feel as premium as the iPhone to the hand, the camera is better than my iPhone’s especially kwa low light/usiku (we find ourselves using her phone more to take pics while travelling and all)…I would imagine the Samsung S8 plus would be even better given that it has a dual camera setup.
P.S: Samsung S9 and S9+ will be released towards the end of this month, you might want to wait for that
P.S2: I would never buy a Samsung hata ikue inaguruma, because: Apple fan boy
:D:D:D, fanatism does not follow facts…Anyway, I admire the Apple ecosystem very much and I have very good things to say about it which would probably need a whole day to vent about; and which definitely go beyond the clarity of a phone camera :rolleyes:

Hii idea ya Samsung kua na East Africa warranty ndio bullshit. I did not manufacture that phone in my house, it’s not a clone, it is there phone but when ikona issues which i did not cause inakua hio simu c yao haina warranty… @Polmos btw i was a Samsung fan in 2 year i bought S7 edge, S8, S8 plus over 250k but vye walinishow juzi apo westy i felt cheated. Sai natumia mulika mwizi.
