@Meria Mata and good doc @Luther12 kindly explain to me how satellite tv channels work, can’t understand why I have 90% decoder signal yet some channels are at 10% and others no signal .Does this mean the decoder receives individual channel(frequency) just like an FM radio or the whole package is beamed to the decoder then based on info on your card the decoder chooses what you can and can’t watch. if the case is the former then does it mean my installer did a shoddy job?
Which satellite are you connected to?
Hebu Tuanze hapo
Also decoder and dish size
Location is also a factor:rolleyes::rolleyes:
SES 5 at 5. 0°E , 90cm offset dish , starsat Tv
HUYO FUNDI WAKO NI BONOKO, if he aligned the dish and lnb properly you would have got two sat on one dish, ie, ses5 and eutelsat7@7e , this two sats are very strong in our region and its very easy to track them. call him back to realign your dish and give me a call while he is at it
cheza na lnb skew…turn it around
that’s what I realized when he took out a ZUKU decoder as his meter , BONOKO but surprisingly some channels worked.
One of several things:
your dish size is inappropriate for your location (confirm on satstar.net or satbeams.com)
inaccurate set-up with respect to azimuth, LNB skew & depth, dish elevation, a warped dish surface or dish mount, etc. Confirm parameters on dishpointer.com or satlex.de
an insensitive decoder tuner. Different tuners have different tuner sensitivities. The more sensitive the better.
Pay attention to the Signal Quality on your screen, not Signal Level.
