Scholarship grants on The MoE website.

I’ve been visiting the Ministry of Education website occasionally looking for job openings and open scholarship opportunities, especially to study abroad. On several visits into the website I’ve viewed the several calls for application into many scholarship slots available but I’ve never really had the chance to apply for one, mainly due to elapsed deadlines and other reasons. In the past week however I saw an advert calling for Commonwealth scholarships in the UK and I got interested to apply for the opportunity.
As part of the application process however, one is expected to pick a nominating agency for referral, which in this case is the MoE, or any other CSC-recognized NGOs. Of course I picked MoE, since I’m not in touch with any NGOs neither do I know anyone in such an organization.
I tried reaching out to the MoE via their email provided in the website but hawareply. Tried calling their number on the website but hakuna response.
This has made me question the legitimacy of the scholarship offers. Are they real? Has anyone ever fairly benefitted from the adverts in the MoE website? Do the samaki kubwas in the MoE take advantage of such calls and refer their close relatives/ friends??
Kindly help a poor Kenyan here who wants to further their studies. I’m in the process of drafting my proposal though as a partial requirement for the award of the scholarship opportunity.

Jamaa wa bedsitter Kama Kawaida shitting on a legit post.

@OP apply but make sure you follow up. I have a relative who applied a while ago and got a fully funded scholarship majuu using same channel and it was merit based.

Also, if you can look for scholarship opportunities through your county. It narrows the pool.

Long time ago i was in a dark place and i applied for that after high school nilikua nimeiona kwa gazeti i think ilikua ya japan and i applied ile siku ya kudrop papers ile sneer yenye secretary alinipea i knew i stood no chance in hell …much later retired president kibaki alipigwa na scandal ya kupea two of his nieces to Australia i think…now if presidents have their hand in the cookie jar what chance does a regular joe like you stand! Anyway keep trying things might have changed.

You must be a government employee to stand a chance(civil servant). MoE is one of the most corrupt ministries in Kenya(with +400B budget per financial year).

Government employees are given priority. You stand a chance if you apply for scholarships through the embassy.

they’re legit. I know of stipendium hunguricum
