Kuna ingine inaitwa kabarnet hotel going for 2200 ths days ..
Moi used to have a wing in the hotel/state house we used to climb on top the fence on the garden side by 7 asubuhi when mzee was around and sing our hearts out all kanu songs we knew
The old man would send a few crates of coke and some famous bread called makatiat... One time he actually walked up to the fence...
A second fence was put up on that side, after a few visits the mzee asked watoto walienda wapi..
The 2nd fence was brought down wakajenga some small pedestal ya mbao tukue tunasmamia but with a hotel attendant onsite... Mnaimba for 1hr mkate na soda kwa nyasi na kutimuliwa..
There was even one time the guy visited the long running mayor around area za kapropita, the guy had some huge field of oranges for commercial sale. Mzee kuona watoto wanaimba kwa gate akasema wafunguliwe shamba ya machungwa, ile maneno tulifanya uko tulitolewa mbio kwa shamba kama maumbwa by the mayor himself na nyaunyo once mzee left

There is even a huge monument called rungu ya nyayo when entering kabarnet town..
The presidential wing is up for occupation at kabarnet hotel but the hotel at the moment is very rundown

@steve mmoja we shared the same childhood. kabarnet in the 1990s, ulikua kapro au Visa oshawal? Nakumbuka makatiat. na huyo mayor Philemon.
