Hello guys. Been running a wisp for a few months and would like to offer a free video on demand service to my customers. Does anyone have an idea of a good plug and play server/client solution with apps for android and all? Thanks in advance.
Such a service itakula hosting space na bandwidth sana, especially if it will be a free service. It might turn out quite expensive and unsustainable.

Bandwidth, Bandwidth, is thou at a Gigabit net? That aside what are the law implications of running the service as you will be basically a broadcaster, someone will snitch sooner or later and CA will be knocking down your door, hapa utaumia bure wacha watu walipe netflix na zenginezo.

Its for my local WISP customers not for general public. Hosting and bandwidth is within the WISP network. I want to cut the amount of bandwidth going to my upstream provider saving on bandwidth costs that’s why its free.

Bandwidth gigabit net? Sjaelewa. Law implications this is kenya plus on a local network?? Unless mtu anakutafuta. This will be just like any other torrent site. I could actually redirect Tottent sites to the site. Bandwidth is expensive out here and squeezing more customers into little bandwidth makes more sense.
First the Gigabit part I meant what is the actual connection speed between you and your clients, as you are a WISP I am assuming you are using Ubiquiti radios and unless you will want to have 10 subscribers connected to one radio you will max out your Capacity thus affecting the main thing which is internet connectivity, and as you said this is Kenya na watu wanajua mahali ya kukulia sana.

not worth the trouble and you will need alot of bandwidth vile kadinal amesema, hosting your videos is another problem since you habe to keep the library updated and running 24/7 hence storage costs…hii kazi yote for a free service wacha ikae
