I have a Toyota Wish which has been parked since December 2018 as I have not been able to find a buyer for it.
I gave it to a car dealer on Bunyala road 4 months ago, but he did not get me a buyer. In that time period, I advertised it on Cheki/Pigia me, but none of the inquiries were serious.
Any recommendations for a good car salesman that will be able to sell it, or a buyer who might be interested in it? Any good pointers will be highly appreciated.
As you can tell, I am not so good with handling cars…
Chances are that your price is unrealistic. What is the YOM and what price are you selling it for?? Assuming that it is in good condition.
This is usually a common problem among sellers who were the first users of the car. Most can’t stomach the huge depreciation in the initial years of a vehicle’s use. So they quote unrealistic prices and get stuck with their vehicle for months or years before they accept the reality - that a car depreciates like crazy in the first few years.
At what price? You can’t overprice a Toyota and expect to sell it just because it is a Toyota. The most likely reason she still has that car is either the car has a problem, or she has priced it above the market prices.
At what price? That is the point you are missing. Toyotas are easy to sell. But you don’t expect to overprice a toyota and get a buyer. Buyers also want value for money and shop around before purchasing.
It just means your price is not realistic, watu wanapata better asks kwingine. Fanya homework, look around and see what others are asking for for a similar make
weka bei mzuri. itaenda asubuhi. toyota doesnt have that high resale price people talk of.
800 iko sawa kama haina dent na scratches na ni kcs. kama ina dents all over wacha kulia umeharibu gari peana tu iende. selling a car like that isnt easy. most of those buying locally used small cars are people with little hope of importing one. usually have 600k or less in their pockets.
Vile umeambiwa hapo juu amka uende show ground the first five offers you get will be the average value customer anaweza toa accept the price and sell it quick
Totally agree, thanks. 850K is for the sole reason I took it to mechanic a couple of weeks ago for some touch ups, but I am willing to knock off 50K, although I am not so desperate to sell it. Still hoping to get the highest bidder.
