I want to purchase some goods online that are unavailable in kenya. So I got the goods at Amazon. The seller is shipping to kenya for free.
Who has purchased goods from Amazon and had them shipped to Kenya? Mtu anieleze venye kutaenda. How long it takes to receive the goods, custom duty etc…
It’s better that you talk to Vitumob.com and ask them to give you their US address where your goods can be delivered to and then they ship them in for you. It’s cheaper this way - I shipped goods worth KSH 13k last week and was only charged 3k total and I got the stuff in under a week. If the amazon seller ships them for you, you will be charged a very high tax fee once they land (This is why most if not all Amazon sellers refuse to ship goods to Kenya because of the high tax charges). However its good to note that if you check out with Vitumob on Amazon, the fee will be higher because their USD exchange rate is very high (Around KSH 105). This is why its better that you pay for the goods yourself on Amazon using either Paypal or Debit/ Credit card and have the goods delivered to the Vitumob warehouse in the US. This way you will only be charged per KG when the goods arrive.
Peercargo, kote cargo and the likes, are your best bet. Amazon wakikurushia direct you will be slapped with an insane customs charge by Njiraini ushangae…

I actually found one guy selling whatever am looking for. But he is selling at 14k while I can buy on Amazon at $25. So I decided to purchase on Amazon if I can have it delivered at a reasonable cost.
